Catching Crawdads

The other day we went crawdad hunting, and we found about, um, lets say, twenty-five. We had them for lunch that day. The only problem is that my dad stopped looking at the boiler, and it overboiled, but they turned red. Bright red.

They were a bit tasty, but my dad said we should only eat the tail. If you looked at their face, it was kind of creepy. You should try eating them sometime, their quite tasty, but it's difficult to get the meat out their tail and all that stuff.

They really are good, but they are more work than they are worth. Give me a giant lobster any day!. If you decide you want to suck the heads, be sure to put hot sauce in the head first. I'm not sure what the appeal is in sucking brains out of one.

I need to correct something I said earlier. I was calling the crawdads, mudpuppies - that is wrong, a mudpuppy is salamander. Crawdads are also called mudbugs!
