This is Bill. He's a cadet at West Point. Standard issue weapon for West Point cadets is the old M1 Garand rifle.

Letter to Brickarms.com

My letter:

Dear Will:

My name is Luke Harris. I am nine years old. I think that Brickarms are very nice because Lego just doesn't put enough cool guns in their products. I used your M21 sniper rifle to use to build my airborne ranger. In his pack, he's got one of your stun grenades and the spy pistol.

I decided that he needed something more. It was facepaint! So I got some of my dad's model paint, and I painted tan and green stripes on his face. My dad didn't have green paint, so I had to mix blue and yellow together. Then my dad and I took picture of the man, and Dad helped me photoshop the ranger into a jungle scene.

I think it looks cool, and I wanted to send it to you. Thank you again for making the cool Brickarms.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

     Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15 ,1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He started his civil rights movement after Rosa Parks had been arrested in 1955. This started the Montgomery bus boycott. Then in 1959, the Supreme Court found that bus segregation was unconstitutional. However in many parts of the South nothing changed. The success in Montgomery triggered sit-ins and other protests all over the South. In 1963, adults tried marching through Birmingham, but the police attacked them. Next, the children tried and it worked! After several marches when the police were shown on TV attacking children, they stopped following orders. Also in 1963, King delivered his “I Have A Dream” speech. In 1964, he was the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and the Civil Rights Act, which King had worked for, passed through Congress. Unfortunately, he died on April 4, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee, shot by an assassin. This was a shame because he was only 39 years old and he could have done so much more.
     He was a good citizen because he fought for equal rights for all people peacefully, and went to jail willingly for the cause even though he didn't like it. He showed people that you don't need guns to change the country.
